| Equipment | I generally use a Yamaha SG2000 through a Boss GT6 into a Fender Delux112 Amp and monitor via an old Carlsboro alpha PM15. I Also use an old Fender Stratocaster for that thinner single coil sound. The Strat also has a Roland GK2 mounded by the bridge which I use to drive a Roland GR50 synthesizer. This also gives me a guitar to computer interface which allows me to control software based synthesizers. |
| Styles and Influences | I've always been interested in electronic music but could never afford the synthesizers when I started out. Guitars were much cheaper and so I got hooked. I started learning simple heavy power chord stuff influenced by Hawkwind, Black Sabbath etc... As I found I could play more I got into more and more styles from pop, funk, reggae. Todd Rundgren I still like and I always look forward to a new album from Peter Gabriel (so it's not all guitars !) I had a big Mark Knopfler phase once. I've always been a fan of David Gilmour. There are so many good guitar players to take influence from the list seems endless ! |
